Dedicated to the memory of Mark Casali

It is with the deepest sadness that we share the passing of our beloved and devoted husband, father, son and brother, Mark. Over the last nine months he fought a courageous battle against a nasty, aggressive, indiscriminate disease as medical professionals tried everything in their arsenal to treat him.

Although cut off in his prime, with so much more he wanted to give, Mark achieved a huge amount. He was a dedicated civil servant who served his country in postings across the world including Bahrain, Jamaica, Afghanistan and most recently the Philippines. Mark loved to travel and experience new places. He worked hard, causing a snowball effect in whatever line of work he challenged himself with as his attention to detail revealed additional avenues of investigation. This dedication and competence led to Mark being awarded an MBE in 2017 for services to law and order.

Mark is survived by two sons, Alex and Tom and his wife, Jo, all of whom he loved spending time with. He shared his wanderlust with all three, taking them all around the world on the most amazing holidays which he meticulously planned. Mark adored his family and was so proud of his 'Casali Boys'.

Mark spent much of his free time enjoying the great outdoors both in the UK and overseas. Always keen to walk, he had the fitness and stamina to cover miles and miles in the toughest of terrains.  Mark could often be seen in the wind and rain, alone or with friends, trekking in his 'gucci' kit.

We cannot begin to express the devastation we feel at losing Mark. He will always be a huge part of our lives and his memory will live on in us all.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so much, particularly over the last 10 months.
